Most of what JBV does day to day isn't a boiler — it's the everyday plumbing that keeps a house running. Service calls, repairs, fixtures, and full remodel plumbing, handled by a licensed Master Plumber.
Leaks, clogs, running toilets — diagnosed and fixed right the first visit.
Installs and repairs for kitchens, baths, and everything in between.
Clogs cleared, cast iron replaced, full rough-in for remodels and new construction.
Burst pipe? No hot water? We answer day or night.

Old boiler running up your bills? This is the work JBV does best — high-efficiency systems, sized and installed right, by a licensed Master Plumber who owns the truck and shows up himself.
Old cast-iron and low-efficiency boilers swapped for properly sized, modern systems.
Compact combi systems for heat and endless hot water from one unit.
Tank swapped for tankless — more space, more hot water, lower running costs.
Zoning, distribution piping, and full mechanical room upgrades done right.

Backflow preventer and pressure-reducing valve, installed to code with a full copper rebuild.

Full mechanical room build-out for a wall-mounted Navien combi system — heat and domestic hot water from one high-efficiency unit, with a NaviClean filter and fully supported copper distribution piping.

State ProLine XE commercial-grade water heater, installed for reliable, high-volume hot water.

Another Navien combi build-out, set up with a dedicated condensate pump and full copper distribution — heat and hot water in one compact footprint.

Under-sink repair and fixture service — the everyday plumbing call that keeps a bathroom running right.

The JBV crew installing a pair of tankless water heaters side by side — more hot water on demand, less floor space in the mechanical room.
A combi boiler produces both your heat and your domestic hot water from one wall-hung unit, so it replaces a separate boiler and water heater. Navien units are high-efficiency condensing appliances, which means they extract more heat from the same gas than an older cast-iron boiler. They also free up floor space, which matters in a lot of South Shore basements. JBV installs them because they suit the housing stock here and they are what the business does best.
Age, efficiency and failure pattern decide it. A boiler that has needed several repairs in consecutive heating seasons, or one that is well past its expected service life, usually costs more to keep than to replace. A single failed part on an otherwise sound system is a repair. JBV will tell you which it is after seeing the system, and will say so if a repair is the better value.
JBV does not publish prices, because an honest number depends on the existing system, the fuel and venting, the number of zones, and what the piping looks like when the old unit comes out. A quote follows a look at the property. Be cautious of any contractor who quotes a boiler replacement over the phone without seeing it.
Tankless units heat water on demand instead of keeping a tank hot, so they save standby energy and never run out during back-to-back showers. They need adequate gas supply and correct venting, which is why they are not automatically the right answer in every house. It depends on your gas line, your venting route and how your household actually uses hot water.
Call 857-526-3887. Before you do, check that the thermostat is calling for heat, that the boiler switch (it often looks like a light switch near the unit or at the top of the basement stairs) has not been turned off, and that the system has not tripped a breaker. If those are fine, do not keep resetting the unit — repeated resets can make the fault worse.
